Frequently Asked Questions about Frog Revolution
Which types of pods can I use with the Frog Revolution?
The machine is specifically designed to work with the universal standard of ESE pods in the 44 mm format. The system holds the natural filter paper single serve evenly, ensuring a steady flow of water that releases all the aroma and body of Caffè Borbone blends.
The lever is too stiff to close – what can I do?
The pod is probably not lying flat. Centre it and place it correctly on the steel pod holder plate before lowering the lever to solve the problem and start brewing.
The machine flashes every 2–3 seconds: is this normal?
Yes, it is completely normal: it indicates that the machine is in energy-saving stand-by mode. To reactivate it and heat it up, simply press and hold the brew button for about 3 seconds.
How often should the pod holder gasket be replaced?
We recommend replacing the gasket roughly every 6 months or after about 1,000 coffees. Signs of wear indicating it needs changing are a very wet pod tab at the end of brewing or a small water leak from the pod holder group.
How does water loading work on the Frog machine?
It couldn't be more practical: simply place a bottle of still water in the rear compartment and manually insert the flexible suction tube all the way to the bottom. When the water runs out, you just replace the bottle, reducing the limescale deposits typical of fixed water tanks.
